Welcome to First Baptist Church
We encourage you to visit us in 100 Clinton Street, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601. We are in downtown Frankfort on the corner of Clinton and High Streets, across the street from the State Office Building and the Old Governor's Mansion.
Steps to Planning Your Visit
Choose a Worship Service
We are one church with two worship experiences - one at 8:00 a.m. (called the Early Worship Service) and 11:00 a.m.. Each worship service offers uplifting praise and worship music and an inspirational spirit filled message from Pastor Houston. Our 8 a.m. service is the shorter of the two services, generally an hour in length. We also take time out to recognize those who are visiting us for the first time.
What to Wear
Dress for Sunday morning worship ranges from casual or business casual to business professional dress. Those attending services throughout the week typically dress in a very relaxed or casual manner. Nevertheless, we adopt a "come as you are" dress.
We have two options for parking. There is on-street parking available on Clinton and High Streets and we have the State Parking lots directly adjacent to First Baptist Church. We advise you to make sure that your vehicle is locked during the services.
Once you arrive, Ushers will be available to help you or you and your family prepare for an exciting worship experience. Our sanctuary can facilitate over 400 worshipers. We ask you to plan to be with us for the entire worship experience.
How to Join First Baptist Church
We welcome you to become a part of this Bible based ministry, First Baptist Church. We offer the opportunity for you to unite with us during anytime by the following modes:
- Christian Experience - for those who have had a previous relationship with a Christian church and desire to continue your faith journey with First Baptist Church.
- Baptism - for those persons who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Personal Savior. We baptize new converts every First Sunday during the 8:00 a.m. service.
- Letter - for those who want to unite with our church body after leaving another congregation by bringing a letter of recommendation from the previous pastor and church.
- Watch-Care - for those who will be residing in Frankfort or Franklin County temporarily. This is an ideal method of membership for those students of Kentucky State University or those temporarily living with relatives. This does not negate your membership at your current home church, but it provides a spiritual covering for you while in the area.
