Rev. Anna T. Jones, who is known affectionately as "Reverend Anna," was born and raised in Frankfort, Kentucky, where she still resides with her husband, Deacon Bill Jones. They have two children - Scott and LaKesha Jones and one grandson Robbie.

She retired from the Kentucky Department of Transportation in 2004 after 29.5 years of service. Shortly after retirement, she returned back to work for a few years. Just recently, Rev. Jones decided it was time to retire for good because she had work to do for the Lord.

Although her work as a civil servant was very satisfying, none was greater than receiving her calling to preach God's word. As a member of First Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. K.L. Moore, she was part of the Usher Board and volunteered at Vacation Bible School.

In 1996, Rev. Jones became a new creation under the guidance of Apostle James and Gloria Smith at Greater New Hope Christian Center in Lexington, Kentucky.  While developing her spiritual gifts at Greater New Hope Christian Center, she established, organized and managed the church bookstore. She continued her services as an Usher, a member of the Altar Prayer Team, Women's Intercessory Prayer Team, provided continual contact with visitors, and worked in the tape and outreach ministries. She was ordained in 2006 under she graduated from the Conqueror's International Bible School in 2010.

In 2011, Rev. Jones returned to First Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Robert Earl Houston. She was appointed as the Assistant to the Pastor and she has continued to do the Lord's will. She is currently leader of the morning prayer group, assistant Sunday School teacher of TNT (Tuesday Night Teacher) and Wednesday Power Lunch, and The Golden Girls.

On January 4, 2015, Rev. Jones was ordained as a Baptist Minister - the first female in the 181 year history of First Baptist Church.

Reverend Jones strives to live her life bye the Word of God.  She knows we serve a mighty God and that we are in a daily battle with the Devil; But everyday she reminds herself "No weapon formed against her shall prosper" and that she "can do all things through Christ who strengthens her."
